The day of the official launch of the Galaxy S22 series is now approaching, and as many of you may know, leaks about the flagship trio have been surfacing all over the internet in the past few weeks (and if not months). Official Galaxy S22+ leak, confirms battery and fast charging support report
Multiple leaks have painted a picture of what to expect from the Galaxy S22 Ultra Beast, but now we are getting more details about the Galaxy S22+, along with renders of the device showcasing its design. First, take a look at the Galaxy S22+ renders, courtesy of 91Mobiles and iconic leaker and tipster Ishan Agarwal:

As you can see, the Galaxy S22+ houses a punch-hole selfie camera at the center of the display, complemented by a similar bezel all around. As expected, the power button and volume control button are on the right side of the device.

Apparently, the Galaxy S22+ will have a metal chassis (this information is based on the antenna listing visible on the sides of the phone). At the back, the phone sports a triple camera setup and an LED flash on the right side of the camera module. On the bottom side of the phone, we see a subtle Samsung logo.

Apart from this, Ishan Agarwal also has something to say about the specifications of the devices. He says that contrary to some rumours, the Galaxy S22+ will launch in the UK with the Exynos 2200 (some models were thought to launch with Samsung’s own Exynos chip this year). Keep in mind that nothing is official yet, so we recommend you keep an open mind about which Galaxy S22+ chip will be in which market.

The Galaxy S22+ is expected to have a 50MP wide-angle camera as its main sensor, complemented by Adaptive Pixel technology (apparently the vanilla Galaxy S22 will also feature this). There are two modes of capturing photos in Adaptive Pixel technology: a 108MP mode and a 12MP mode. Additionally, images will be captured in 12-bit format.

Now let’s talk about the other specs of the Galaxy S22+ that were revealed in the leak. First of all, these are some of the early Galaxy S22+ maximum brightness rumors that are being confirmed today. The phone should be able to hit 1,700 nits of peak brightness on its refresh rate adaptive display, which should ensure comfortable viewing even in bright conditions outside.

In terms of weight, the Galaxy S22+ is expected to be slightly heavier than the Galaxy S22 and is said to weigh 195 grams, while the vanilla S22 is said to weigh 167 grams. Naturally, the heaviest of the three will be the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is said to weigh 228 grams.

And last but not least, the leak supports the earlier rumors that the Galaxy S22+ will feature a 4,500mAh battery cell. The phone will support 45W wired fast charging.

Galaxy S22+: Other information we know due to previous rumors and leaks
As of now, we know that the Galaxy S22+ will have a 6.55-inch LTPO AMOLED display (and its peak brightness will be 1,700 nits, as we mentioned … the Galaxy S21 Ultra reaches around 1500 nits).

In select markets, the Galaxy S22+ will ship with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The phone should come with a glass back (and the same would be true for the Galaxy S22 as per the leak).
